ABOUT

Named after a charming street between the beach and the bay in Newport, East Bay takes cues from the relaxed yet elevated vibes of the Balboa Racquet Club, and the retro charm of the bayside Ferry.

Designed and engineered by Amy Hood of HoodFonts, East Bay blends a modern sensibility with a nostalgic vibe. Most scripts are either very frilly or very casual. East Bay splits lanes and manages an effortless charm. It's elegant but unfussy. Bougie but understated.

Her high x-height makes this typeface legible and approachable. Tons of alternates let you control the vibe. As usual, expect fun symbols, dividers and extra glyphs. She’s a giver, not a taker.
